The Biggest Loser, Season 9, Episodes 3-5

I started watching The Biggest Lower the evening before yesterday, and now I'm just kind of addicted.

This show is a bad, bad, evil show. *sniff* It toys with my emotions so. I cried through the first episode and through about half of the second. The third one, though... Well, I'm kind of pissed, so I'm just going to rant a bit now.

Melissa, Melissa, Melissa.

One of the main things I dislike about reality TV--and reality TV competitions in general--is when one of the players stand out as thinking of the show as The Game. For them the end result of winning the show is much more important than anything else during or after their stint on the show. Yes, we all realise there will be a winner, but the point isn't just to be winner of cycle n of show XYZ. The journey is important, too, and, on a show like The Biggest Lower, getting to a healthy weight is important as all hell.

What pisses me even more than having that sort of attitude? When the contestant shows it to everyone else. Bet you anything that there will be another Michael-sabotaged-by-the-Grey-Team moment with Melissa simply because now everyone knows she's a slacker. Bet you anything also that had the Grey Team or Pink Team realised she would be slacking off this week as well, she would have had to do the weight-in instead of her husband. The Pink Team didn't pick her because they thought she would lose a lot for sure, and the Grey Team just didn't realise she was sabotaging the weight-in somehow this time as well since Michael was much more obviously (though more honestly) slacking off than her.

Grrr. And she yelled and lied at Jillian and Bob, my absolute favourite people in reality TV. Burn! Had she also yelled at Alison, pointy object would have started flying around here, mark my words. I do not threaten just anybody with bodily harm.

I know who wins this season because, well, I was on the network website and it's kind of just there. I don't particularly care because this is totally all about the journey for me.

Melissa: Are we sure that's right? 'Cause you know...
Jillian: *are-you-shitting-me face*
Bob: What are the odds? /sarcasm
Alison: *backs away slowly*

Michael: I kick ass!

I LOVE THE COUSINS! THEY ARE AWESOMENESS PERSONIFIED!

OK, seriously, Green Team, you need a chill pill and a time out. You two have awful attitudes. Attitude is such a big factor of why people gain weight because it shapes your outlook and it can do serious damage. Jillian tried to help you guys out, but even Bob's patience couldn't help her. No one is paid enough to put up with this shit.

I dislike the Red and Green Teams the most, since about week two, for two very different reasons, but equally in levels of dislike. Gah! And did Melissa just wink at Miggy? Holy fuck, she is going to get her arse handed to her on a plate.

Jillian: Well there's your problem... like I said a million times before. Does anyone listen, though?
Crickets: Chirp?
Jillian: Thought so. *sigh*

Migdalia was one step away from bitch-slapping Andrea, which, again, so very unfair because the girl has a very good point and you're just being incredibly rude. Blah. And Melissa, are you shitting me? You want Migdalia to stay? You're actually going to do exactly what she doesn't want you to do and then have her around after that decision? Wow, you're more fucked than I would have ever guessed.

Daris: You're both so darn stubborn! *frown*
Miggy & Migdalia: Yay! Cookie!

Holy fuck! That's some opening. And what the hell are those machines people are using by their beds?

Jillian: Uh, welcome to The Biggest Loser! *fat grin*
Me: Marry me!

I wanted the Blue Team to stay, but the Yellow Team kicked serious be-hind! And damn it, Show, you're making me cry again. Bob and Jillian are officially saints. It's settled. Why is Stephanie suddenly such a cutie-pie? *swoons* Is O'Neill a bit of a hypocrite, or am I getting this skewed? Didn't expect it to be John, though; I'll say that.

I want it to be September and a new season already. :(
